WEED SCIENCE SOCIETY OF GREECE (WSSG) was established in 1982 as a national non-profit professional society with offices in Athens.
Aims and Objectives
The Weed Science Society of Greece has the following aims and objectives:
To promote and encourage the research in any aspect of weeds in Greece
To promote and encourage the research in the area of herbicides and plant growth regulators.
To exchange the latest developments on herbicides and weed management in Greece
To exchange the experience in the field of Weed Science.
To organize meetings/seminars/workshops.
To hold a biennial conference.
The society holds a biennial conference at which members and any other weed scientist can present their research and scientific work, while the knowledge is exchanged and technology is transferred. Several conferences have been organized since in 1982.
